Entry Level DPT Admission Requirements

ENTRY-LEVEL DPT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited college or university.
2. An undergraduate GPA of AT LEAST 3.0 based on all undergraduate work or work completed during the last 2 years of study, whichever is higher.
3. Pre-requisiteGPA of AT LEAST 3.0 (any individual grades below C not accepted).
4. Work or volunteer experience with licensed physical therapist.
5. Completion of all physical therapy pre-requisite courses requirements.  These pre-requisite courses include:

MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITHIN LAST 7 YEARS:

• Human Physiology – 1 course
•  Human Anatomy – 1 course
•  Chemistry (with associated laboratory sections) – 1 year
•  Physics (with associated laboratory sections) – 1 year

MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITHIN LAST 10YEARS:

•  Abnormal Psychology – 1 course
• Trigonometry OR Calculus – 1 course
• Statistics  - 1 course (ANOVA, correlation & regression testing  recommended)
•  ADVANCED First Aid (must be current)
•  Note: Advanced First Aid includes one- and two-man CPR,adult, child &  infant choking and CPR
