Physical therapists are uniquely qualified to help people of any age live healthier, decrease the risk of injury or disease, and regain their lives after being impaired or disabled by injury or disease. The focus of the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree is the science and the art of movement and function.
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah was established in 1969 and has a strong national reputation and a rich history of excellent student education, innovative research and valuable service to the profession of physical therapy and the community.
Our fully accredited doctoral program is ranked among the top 17 percent of programs in the United States. The Department of Physical Therapy offers the only academic program for physical therapy in the state of Utah.
