Hello classmates of 1979 & any others who find this interesting. I have been working at the Univ of Utah in sports/ortho since 86 with a 4yr stint of hospital management somewhere in the middle. For the past 5 years I have also been teaching the gerontology class at the Division of PT. I just got my Masters in Gerontology this past summer. Deb & I are empty nesters now. Son,Tyler who is 24, is living the single life in Seattle, and our daughter Sydney, 20 is a soph at the "U" living in the dorms. We all still take the yearly summer vacation to the "Lake" in Oklahoma. My favorite teams still wear RED (Utes & Sooners). As a matter of fact, I had a bout of moderate/severe depression the weekend of Oct 8, 2005. Texas beat OU by 30 points, the Utes lost due to failing to make six inches into the endzone on 3 consecutive plays in the last minute of the game, and BYU won their game with an 80 yard drive in the last 90 seconds. Our class is still stands as "THE BEST" to graduate from the "U" even though the current students and alumni are quite bright. I believe that is all from me for the moment. I hope to hear from everyone. Cheers, Chuck

I have continued to serve in the US Air Force since graduating from Univ of Utah. Now in my tenth assignment, I am currently the Surgical Operations Squadron Commander at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Basically I have 270 AF, civilians and contractors that provide PT, OT, Chiro, OB/GYN, Ortho, General, Plastic, Vascular, Thoracic, ENT, Ophthalmology and Podiatric Surgery services in NW Florida. I am also the Consultant to the AF Surgeon General for Physical and Occupational Therapy, which keeps me busy, but I love what I am doing. I deployed to Qatar late 2006 and had a great international experience leading a team of 86 medics. Starting with a plot of desert, we built and staffed a 25-bed, 2-Operating Room mobile hospital. On the home front, Jack and I have transitioned to the empty nest and love the freedom. We miss the boys, but enjoy traveling and the change of pace. Life is good. Aloha.

As January 2006 all of our children are out of the house. Brittany is married and living in Seattle. She earned her Masters in Public Administration. Andy Lives in Cheney, WA and is attending Eastern WA University. He is interested in Physical Therapy. Matt has just started college and sees himself as a film producer.
I'm a 50% owner of an outpatient Physical Therapy company. We have three clinics. They are all orthopedic clinics, one has a pool, another is for return to work programs and treats only injuried workers.
I've served in various positions with the Physical Therapy Assoc. of WA. including two terms as President. I'm currently the chair of the WA. State licensing board.

Currently I'm a facility director in an outpatient clinic in Taylorsville, Utah. We have five therapists on staff. For the past 12 years I\'ve had a particular interest in overuse pathologies in cyclists. That has opened up the oppurtunity to do bike fitting on a larger scale. This includes people without trauma or overuse who want to get the most out of their cycling. I've enjoyed working with students (most from the U of U) doing internships and have been impressed by the changes that have taken place in the P.T. school over the years. I have two boys, Max (16) and Oliver (12). My wife Susan has her own interior design business.
