Division of Occupational Therapy

The Application Process

After the January deadline, application files are reviewed to determine eligibility based upon receipt of all application materials and completion of prerequisite coursework with a "C" or better.

Once eligibility is determined, each student's academic background will be reviewed on an individual basis for admission. All completed applications will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee in the Division of Occupational Therapy.

A number of students (75 % will be from the top applicants, 25% will be drawn in a lottery consisting of all remaining qualified applicants) from the original pool of applicants are selected for individual and group interviews and a written personal statement.  The interviews take place mid to end of February.

Finalists are judged on the basis of the interviews in conjunction with the rest of the application.  Students accepted to the program will be notified by the end of March.  Qualified students who do not receive an initial offer of admission may be offered an alternate spot.  Alternate students will be offered admission should a spot become available.  We do not maintain a waiting list from year to year.  If a student is not selected for admission, the student will need to reapply the following year.
