M.S. Program
Overview
The M.S. degree is a two year (36 credit hour) degree awarded for advanced achievement in an area of expertise related to Health Promotion and Education. Our graduates develop professional skills through core classes to conduct quality program planning, evaluation and research in an area of their choice in health promotion. This degree prepared students for leadership positions in university, worksite, community, and/or government agencies.
Purpose
The Master of Science program focuses on primarily two types of students. Some students pursue the M.S. degree in health promotion and education as a terminal degree enabling them to work in community, non-profit agencies, worksite, or school settings. Other students use the degree as a stepping-stone to pursue doctoral level studies.
