CPR

We are pleased to announce this new addition to our online courses. This class is designed for the student desiring CPR Certification or Re-certification. Coursework is delivered as streaming audio and video to get an interactive approach to CPR. Curriculae covers Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO), Breathing Emergencies, CPR for the Adult, Child, and Infant and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED). Students will be required to come to either the University of Utah OR Swedish Medical Center (in Englewood) for Practical Testing and will receive a Certificate of Completion for passing written and practical testing. Certificates are valid for 2 years. If you desire Registration please click here now.

Course Specifics

Each student will complete three sections prior to completing written CPR testing. The first section covers Airway Emergencies. The second section covers Breathing Emergencies. The third section covers Cardiac Emergencies. Each section builds upon the prior section, therefore you will be expected to complete the material in order. You will have the option of taking a quiz after each section. The University recommends this, but these quizzes will not be graded. Incidently, each student can take these quizzes as often as necessary.

After completion of each of the three sections, students will return here to take the Final CPR Test. In order to receive Certification, you will need to obtain a score of 75% or higher on the CPR Written and Practical Test. Students will only be allowed two chances to take and pass the written and practical test.

After the written test, you will be asked to call Mike Ditolla (Utah: 801-585-1652) or Steven Atkinson (Colorado: 720-963-9169) to make arrangements to take practical testing. I've provided a map here (ANNEX 2064) where you will need to go in order to take your practical test in Utah. I've provided a map here (Bldg 499, #100) where you will need to go in order to take your practical test in Colorado.
