Master's Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis
in Sports Dietetics - Non-Thesis Track:
The Exercise and Sport Science master's degree with an emphasis in Sports
Dietetics has been tailored for the individual who already is a
Registered Dietitian and is interested in furthering their knowledge of the
physiological mechanisms underlying sports performance for the purpose of
integrating the application of exercise and physiology and sports nutrition.
In association with traditional course work in both the Department of Exercise
and Sport Science and the Division of Nutrition, this
master's program will provide students with the opportunity to acquire either
ACSM or NSCA certification in addition to completing a supervised training
specific to sports nutrition.
This master's degree program is generally considered a non-thesis track; however,
a thesis option is available for interested and qualified individuals on a competitive
basis.
