PETE Mission Statement
The Physical Education Teacher program at the University of Utah is committed to the development of quality physical education teachers through the integration of theory and practice in a wide range of experiences and settings.
Through intensive academic coursework and field experiences, combined with continuous student reflection, the goal of the program is to produce individuals who believe ALL students deserve the opportunity to learn and can learn; who act on the principle that diversity is to be valued; and who are committed to providing quality physical education instruction
