    PEAK Academy (Performance Enhancement through Applied Knowledge) is a clinic of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science in the College of Health. PEAK provides Faculty and Staff Fitness Classes for all full and part-time employees of the University of Utah.

    The PEAK clinic allows faculty members in Exercise and Sport Science to provide practical training education for their undergraduate and graduate students.

    The mission of PEAK is to foster the development of learned knowledge for ESS students and provide professional level services to University and community members.

Pedagogy Lab

The Pedagogy Lab supports the education, training and research in the area of Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) for undergraduate and graduate students in Exercise & Sport Science. The laboratory is linked to all PETE courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in providing students with the environment necessary to analyze teaching tapes and data collected from various forms of technology (digi-walker, heart rate monitor, etc), create and edit teaching/learning portfolio's, and study.

The laboratory is equipped with 4 television and vcr's, a video editing machine, Polar Heart Rate Monitors with 3 downloads, Yamax Digi-Walkers, a small pedagogy library, 4 computers with printer and assorted technology aides such as video camera's, cordless microphones, and tape recorders.
