Giving Opportunities
The College of Health is pleased to offer naming opportunities in recognition of substantial gifts. The list below illustrates the levels and nature of gifts to consider when making philanthropic plans. All can be named in recognition of the donor or an individual or entity designated by the donor. The naming of facilities and programs is subject to the approval of the University of Utah Board of Trustees.
Gifts for Endowment
Endowment gifts to the College of Health are especially evident in its central needs:
- professorships
- scholarships
- fellowships
Gifts for the College's endowment make other resources available for wide-ranging and pressing needs in other areas of the College.
Gifts for Current Use
Contributions provided by alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations for current use by the College of Health assist in meeting urgent needs as well as in responding to opportunities.
Your important gifts of $5, $10, $50, or more contribute to the core vitality of our College and allow us to carry out our important mission.
Planned Gifts
Donors may wish to make a planned gift to the College of Health through a bequest, life income plan, insurance gift, or charitable trust. Through thoughtful gift planning, many donors will be able to leverage their gifts by using appropriate income tax and estate tax saving techniques.
Special Named Facilities, Programs, Institutes and Centers
Many major entities and types of facilities at the College of Health, ranging from entire buildings to lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, classrooms, gardens, and other facilities may be named in recognition of appropriate substantial contributions at a variety of levels.
In addition, programs, institutes, and centers may also be named in recognition of a donor or the donor's designee. The College of Health has need for many such gifts and we would be happy to discuss these opportunities with you.
